There is a thin boundary where the body ends and the soul begins to tell its story. “Where is Soul” is a photographic project born from the need to explore the invisible in everyday life. Through this research, I wanted to investigate the human condition and the sense of belonging, seeking to capture in a single shot that inner glow that resists the transformations of space and time.
In this author reportage, photography does not merely reproduce reality, but becomes a tool for interpreting a sense of disorientation and the strength of resilience, turning observation into a profound philosophical reflection.
The Aesthetics of Feeling: The images focus on the intensity of gazes and the gestures of the subjects. Through a skillful use of natural light and textures, I sought to bring out the emotional tension and the sacredness of the individual. Each shot is a fragment of a larger question about identity, treated with a visual language that aims for the essential and the truth of the moment.
Aerial Perspectives and the Metaphysics of Space: To enrich the narrative, I incorporated aerial photographs taken with a drone. These shots from above do not have a purely descriptive function, but a symbolic one: they serve to contextualize human fragility within imposing scenarios, offering a detached and almost metaphysical perspective that visually underscores the bond between the individual and the infinite.
The Power of the Single Shot: Each photograph lives its own narrative autonomy, inviting the viewer to pause and reflect. The choice to focus solely on the photographic medium allows detail and composition to be pushed to the extreme, transforming the documentation into a deeply immersive contemplative experience.
Creating a project like “Where is Soul” means putting technique at the service of the concept. The integration of traditional photography with drone perspectives makes it possible to explore the theme from multiple points of view, offering thorough documentation that respects the depth of the subject.
