Through my lens, I sought to document the majesty of Petra, the mysticism of Wadi Rum, and the cultural density of a land that is a crossroads of faiths and peoples. I wanted to crystallize the contrast between the stillness of the millennia-old monuments and the vitality of Bedouin traditions, transforming physical space into spiritual narrative.
The Aesthetics of Rock: Geometries Sculpted by Time: The photographic research focuses on material. I worked with the raking light of dawn and dusk to bring out the ochre and pink hues of Petra's Nabataean façades, seeking to capture the instant when the architecture seems to re-emerge from the mountain itself. Each shot tries to convey the texture of the stone and the precision of its millennia-old details, highlighting the grandeur of a human achievement that has blended seamlessly with the wild landscape.
